A Bit About Nancy

Psychotherapy is my second career. I began in the business world - working in public relations and publishing - and while I valued that experience, I ultimately found it unfulfilling. I felt called to more meaningful, human-centered work: to sit alongside people during difficult moments, to support healing, and to help uncover the strengths that often emerge through challenge. After several years working in Manhattan and Philadelphia, I returned to school and earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Rutgers University. I then became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
With over 20 years of experience as a psychotherapist, I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating a wide range of life and relationship challenges. I am passionate about helping clients identify and shift patterns in their thoughts and behaviors that may be holding them back from creating the life that they desire.
My approach is integrative and tailored to each individual. I draw from psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and strength-based approaches, among others, depending on what will best support each client’s needs and goals. I am certified in CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Mindfulness and meditation practice influence my approach as well and I both encourage and teach these practices in sessions.
In addition to my clinical work, I am a member of the Suicide Prevention Task Force of Camden County, a member of the Trauma Loss Coalition in Camden and Gloucester Counties, and a Disaster Response Crisis Counselor for the State of New Jersey.
I work respectfully with my clients, supporting them as they explore their unique experiences in order to help manage feelings, move forward, and gain a new perspective so they can lead a more fulfilling and authentic life.
